You asked and we listened! Our *NEW* Stained Glass club is the perfect follow up to our Beginner Series 101-103. This is a great chance to venture out on your own, with a larger and/or more complicated project, but without having to invest in the equipment or supplies quite yet! Our new space is bigger & brighter, so if you're not looking forward to going out into the cold (or hot) garage to work, and/or if you're looking for a community of crafters to work with, come and join us for a fun evening of crafting!
NEW FORMAT Sessions are purchased individually to allow you more flexibility with your schedule.
Step 1: register for as many sessions as you would like. There is a price break if you purchase a block of 4, but sessions don't need to be attended consecutively. You can just scheduled them as you have a free Tuesday night.
Step 2: send us an email at info@meltglass.com or a text at (360) 771-5617 to let us know which Tuesday nights you plan to attend. We will then either confirm or let you know if a session is already full and help you find an alternate date. Sessions are EVERY Tuesday from 5-9pm.
Here is what you'll have access to when you're part of the club:
- All hand tools, glass cutters, and soldering irons
- Large workspace, cutting mats, soldering surfaces, wet room for cleaning projects
- Grinders, flat lap grinder, ring saw, strip cutter, zinc cutter, lead stretcher
- Flux, patinas, cleaners, polish
- Copper foil, solder, lead or zinc border came, hangers
- 4 hours with instructor per session
**This is an intermediate/advanced class. You MUST have taken the 101-103 beginner classes, or have commensurate experience.
SESSION DETAILS: The instructor will be present from 5-9pm every Tuesday night to assist and instruct you, as needed. Come and go as you please during those hours. There is NO set curriculum for the sessions, so you can feel free to work at your own pace.
PROJECT DETAILS: Copper foil projects only. Bring your own pattern or choose one from our extensive library and have copies made (not included in class price, we suggest Office Depot). You can even bring a project you already started at home! Projects must be no more than 50 pieces AND a maximum 20" x 20". If you have a larger project to work on , or one with more than 50 pcs, please mention that when you contact us to set up the session date, to make sure we will have enough room for you to work.
STORAGE DETAILS: You may store your projects on-site, so long as you have registered for, and scheduled, a future session. Otherwise you must take your project home with you. Please plan ahead and bring a board and/or box for transport, as we do not provide those materials.
REFUND POLICY: If you email or call to cancel your session at least 24 hours in advance, we are happy to transfer you to another session at no charge. However, if we have you scheduled for a session and you simply do not show up, there will be no refund or transfer.
*Photos are examples of designs made in our classes that would be appropriate for this class format. Ethical pattern usage is the responsibility of the student, not the studio.
