Refund policy
Return of Undamaged/Non-Defective Items:
We will accept returns for any items purchased from the Melt Glass Art Supply web site, with the exception of glass scrap and chemicals (flux, ZYP, glue, etc). These exclusions also apply to in-store purchases, in addition to lead and zinc came. Returned merchandise must be unused, undamaged and in resalable condition. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with the return of items to Melt Glass Art Supply. Please include a copy of your sales order with the returned items.
We must be notified within 10 days of receipt that you intend to return the item. Notification may be made to info@meltglass.com or by calling our voicemail at (360) 771-5617. Upon receipt of the undamaged return item, we will issue a refund of the original purchase price, not including original shipping charges, to the payment method used for the original purchase.
Because all transactions on our web site are real time, we do not issue store credits or rainchecks. If you need replacement merchandise it should be reordered through the web site shopping cart as a separate transaction.

Damaged Items/Breakage:
Melt Glass makes every effort to ensure that your merchandise arrives in excellent condition. We have been packing and shipping glass for 20+ years with very few incidents of damage or breakage. However, due to the nature of our products, and the vagaries of the shipping world, sometimes things can go wrong.
If you receive damaged or broken items, please notify us within 2 days of receipt and TAKE PHOTOS!!

Refunds for Broken or Defective Products:
We make every effort to supply our customers with the highest quality glass, findings and supplies. If you feel that you have received a defective item from Melt Glass, we will replace it or refund the appropriate cost and shipping, at our discretion. We must be notified by email (info@meltglass.com) of the defect and the desired resolution no more than 5 days after you receive the item(s). It is up to the discretion of the Melt Glass employee as to the extent of defect.
Refunds will be prorated based on the extent of the defect, and/or the shipping applicable to a particular item. For example, the refund for a badly scratched corner on a 4×4 that was part of a 20# order, would be limited to the value of the unusable glass and the weight of the specific item. Broken tools or equipment are typically refunded 100% or replaced immediately.
Be sure to test fire all glass. Differences between batches is not necessarily a defect, but a normal feature in handmade products. Your project not turning out does not necessarily indicate a defect in the materials used. Due to variations in techniques and firing conditions, we cannot be responsible for time loss or project results.
Items covered by a manufacturer’s warranty must be returned to the manufacturer in the event of defect. If your item falls into that category, we will let you know where to send the item(s) and give you a contact at the company for the necessary follow-up.
