Art Glass Jewels (Impressions)
$25.00
Glass jewels (sometimes called gems or impressions) are made by pressing beautiful stained art glass into a mold. The process leaves some extra glass around the outside that can be easily trimmed with a glass cutter or you can also grind the jewel to size. The back of the jewel is mostly smooth, though it can have some light texture to it.
Glass jewels can be used in a number of ways but typically they are used in stained glass. During Victorian times jewels were often used by artists in windows and transoms for their wealthier clients as accents or border elements. Today, jewels are still used to add interest and dimension to glass work.
Our jewels can be purchased iridized or regular, come in assorted colors, various sizes, and several shapes including round, square, and rectangular. They’re great for lead caming or copper foil.
These items are handmade with pride in the USA. Because they are handmade there may be some variations from the photos.
